TEDxAkron Q&A with Dr. Ceaira
Q: What do you love most about working/living in Akron?
This is the place where I call home. This is the city where my family is from, this is where I grew up. This city is a part of the backdrop of my story and so I take pride in thriving here.
Q: What do you think you’re most known for and what might surprise people about you that most people wouldn’t know?
I think I am most known for my many passions. People who know me know that I am a passionate individual. Most people would be surprised to know that I am also incredibly shy.
Q: If you didn’t do what you did now, what would you do or how would you spend your time in an alternative universe?
If in an alternate universe, I’d quite literally want to wake up as someone different and new each time I fell asleep. Living a new existence, keeping only thoughts or memories of the previous but no other attachments. I’d live a new reality, adventure, lifestyle, representation, experience, and story each time I awake.
Q: What’s your favorite mantra?
My favorite mantra is one that I created myself. I don’t say it so much anymore because I feel I have grown a bit in my life, but it helped me through some of the most difficult of life’s challenges. To me, it’s simple, personal, and profound. “The Universe knows and loves me.”
Q: What is the one thing you’re looking forward to the most as a future TEDx speaker?
I am most looking forward to the moments while giving my TEDx presentation. Remembering when I once thought of the possibility, realizing a dream come true.
