Becoming a partner of TEDxAkron helps the greater Akron and Summit County community spark conversation and build connections at a grassroots level by fostering the spirit of TED's overall mission to research and discover “ideas worth spreading.” Sponsoring this year’s “Shaking The Rules” event is an opportunity to showcase you or your organization’s inclusive passion for showcasing Akron’s diverse voice and spirit.

Sponsorship support in 2025 for TEDxAkron helps to fund things like venue rental, professional videography, video editing, photography, speaker coaching, marketing, promotion, tech support, coordinating events, TED event education, and after-party needs. Checks or digital payments for sponsorships will be made to Rhinocorn Consulting, the fiscal agent for TEDxAkron by check, cash, or Venmo.
TEDxAkron events are planned and coordinated independently, under a free license granted by TED. Per TED and TEDx guidelines, all sponsorship funds or in-kind products raised or given through sponsorship must all go back into the organizing of the TEDx event. No members of the TEDxAkron team are paid for their roles or leadership. TEDxAkron is a license agreement with The TED Foundation, and not an independent organization with its own tax ID or EIN, therefore we are not able to distribute or offer any tax-related benefits.
